Image of the Week (Futty Pregnancy)

“My precious little baby,
I have loved you from the start.
You are a tiny miracle,
Laying closely to my heart.

Each day I feel your presence.
Each day your heart beats softly,
As only I could know.

So I’ll keep this in a special place,
And remember each year through,
Of this very special time in my life.
The moment I carried you.”

We’ve known Sabrina and Robert for some time now – from their Pre-wedding portraits, to their wedding, and NOW their “soon-to-be” family. It’s such an honor sharing in our client’s special moments…and this is truly one of them!

This week, we wanted to highlight our Pregnancy portraiture. These sessions are always so much fun, not only for us, but for our clients, who can look back at such a momentous occasion. Sabrina and Robert are taking part in our “Baby’s Life” Collection, and who could blame them?!

Sabrina and Robert don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet. They’re following through with being surprised. Can you guess what it will be?! Take a look at our Image of the Week, and start placing your bets.  Team Capone certainly has their guess!!   🙂

Congratulations to Sabrina, Robert, and their families.

Image of the Week (Watkins-Pontano Wedding)

We know we’re doing this a few days early, but since our weekend is so jam crammed with weddings and Get to Know You Sessions – we thought it best to post NOW!

We photographed Mary and Tom’s Wedding down at beautiful Congress Hall in Cape May, NJ.  The weather was nothing but spectacular…and what more can you ask for when photographing a beach wedding?!  We were able to capture some images in and around Congress Hall, as well as out on the beach.  Mary and Tom were more than willing to take on the sand, ocean, and even wind!  For that – we thank them both, and are pleased to post this awesome image from their special day.  If only Junior could have made it down!   🙂      (FYI – Junior is their dog)

Happy Friday everyone.  And be sure to do the “no rain dance” for us, for the weekend ahead!

Kellie and Mark’s Wedding Highlights

So, here it is!!  Our something new AND special.

Kellie and Mark’s wedding was spectacular.  We started the day with Kellie (who is nothing short of photogenic!) in West Deptford.  We then worked with Mark (who also charms the camera) at Saint Matthew’s Church, in National Park.  Mark’s brother (and sister-in-law) are  former clients of ours, so it’s always nice to work with familiar faces!  The wedding party was such a great group – and we hope they had as much fun as we did at the park.  Their reception was held in the beautiful Skylight Ballroom at The Merion in Cinnaminson, NJ.  A special thanks to everyone at The Merion, for another fantastic job.

The party was rockin’ all night with none other than Don’t Call Me Francis.  When you watch the video, you’ll notice that Mark’s grandparent’s will agree with us about the band!  His grandparents really had some great moves.  🙂

Enjoy everyone.  And thanks again, Kellie and Mark, for such a wonderful day!

(P.S. – We figured this song would fit perfectly!!)

YAY! We’re up and running again!!

Greetings to all!

Thanks (yet again) to the oh-so-talented Mark, Capone Photography’s blog is back to normal.  WHEW!  We’ve definitely been jonesing to post some stuff.  We certainly have a lot of catching up to do.  We’re really looking forward to posting images from a lot of the things we’ve been doing over the past month.  It’s been a busy one, that’s for sure!

We won’t post the “Image of the Week” until next week.  This way, it gives our couple a fair opportunity for a WHOLE week.  🙂  However, be sure to stay tuned for something a little special this week.  We’re going to try something new, and can’t wait to test it out.  WooHoo!!

Don’t worry, we’ve got PLENTY of images to post as the week goes on.  We’ve been super busy with Photo Expos, engagement sessions, family portraits, Lindsey’s vacation, and many…MANY weddings.

So how ’bout them Phillies, huh?!  Such a wonderful accomplishment for the team, as well as the city of Philadelphia.  It’s been a long time coming, but it finally happened.  We’re sure that most of you went to the parade, considering there were just over 2 million people there!  It was definitely an experience, so for those of you that missed it – we wanted to post a couple images for you.

Technical Difficulties

Hey everyone. We are having some (hopefully) temporary technical difficulties posting images to the blog. It’s a wee bit frustrating, since we are at the mercy of our provider. They claim to be working on the fix.

How’s this weather for you? Cold enough?!?

Unfortunately, because of the intense rain, we had to cancel several shoots down the shore on Saturday. Thanks to everyone for rescheduling.

Go Phillies!!!!

Image of the Week (Gallagher-Thomas)

We photographed Shauna and Chris’ Wedding at the historic Smithville Inn in Smithville, NJ.  The rain was off and on this day however, everyone was willing to strap on their rain boots and get a little wet!  We couldn’t have been more excited!  Shauna and Chris were all about getting wonderful images…and who could blame them?!  The scenery and photo opps at Smithville were breathtaking.  The facility really lent itself to classic and photojournalistic photography of all kinds.

A big thanks to their family and friends for being so hospitable.  And an even bigger thanks to our couple – – who were born to be models!!

Meghan and Matt at Little Mill

We recently spent some time with our clients, Meghan and Matt, on the course at Little Mill Country Club, a gorgeous private facility in Marlton, South Jersey.  Meghan and Matt are such an adorable couple.  They were laid back and totally themselves throughout the session.  This provided us with some great opportunities for some tender moments between the two of them.  Matt, we hope you enjoy the pictures as much as the Phillies game!!  🙂  Here’s a sneak peak at some of the images we created.  Thanks again guys…you rock!

Oh…and since we had to travel around the 18 holes to find just the right spots, everyone got their own golf cart.  Here’s a shot of Lindsey, her first time driving one.  We think she only hit one curb and sent a few squirrels (and maybe a golfer or two) running!!  So not too bad.  She officially receives her GOLF CART LICENSE.  Woohoo!

DPPA Wedding Extravaganza

Whew!! Needless to say it’s been one CRAZY week.  We’ve been fortunate enough to have a lot on our plate right now.  A lot – in a good way.  This time of the year is always peak season for us.  Wedding season, portrait sessions, engagement sessions, etc.  And of course, our DPPA Workshop.  We were invited to instruct a day long program on wedding photography for the Delaware Professional Photographers Association, sharing the stage with our good friend Eli Berkowitz, as well as husband and wife team Vivian and Rick Smith from the D.C. area.  Over 3 dozen professional wedding and portrait photographers met at one of the local churches in New Castle, Delaware.  It was a very laid back day, with lots of fun!

The school provided one set of models, which we worked with in the beginning of the day.  We were actually able to bring one of our couples with us, to be our models as well.  They were married a few weeks back, so we thought to ask them to come down with us.  Elzbieta and Razz did an awesome job.  But we’re not biased with our clients or anything!!  🙂

Kudos to our friend and fellow professional photographer, Don Engler, for putting this entire event together.  Amazing time, great people, wonderful weather….we can’t wait to do it again.

Thanks DPP for making this a great experience.

In Appreciation

First and foremost (before we get into anything else), we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who voted for us in the My Fox Philly Contest.  We just thought it was totally cool to be nominated by an anonymous fan!  We only caught the tail end of the contest, but with a strong 92 comments (and who knows how many votes), all of your votes via friends, family, coworkers, etc. carried us all the way to THIRD PLACE.  We are THRILLED with the results, and being named one of Philadelphia’s Top 5 Photographers is truly an honor.  But the biggest honor we have is our clients who are sincerely #1.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  “Keep us in mind for 2009.”

Now, drum roll please……………………..
