Happy Birthday, Isla | First Birthday Portraits

What better way to get outside on this BEAUTIFUL Summer day, than with a celebratory first birthday session?!  Isla is officially the big O-N-E and we were so excited to photograph this outdoor shoot. We have a feeling she enjoyed herself too, because what little girl doesn’t love a good cake smash…AND a tea party? 😉

Happy Birthday to our sweet Isla.  We can’t wait to continue photographing all of your future milestones.

Anthony + Nicholas | Summer Watermelon Session

What comes to mind when you think “summer”?  Perhaps it’s warmer weather, the ocean breeze, or a little vacation.  For us, it’s all about making memories and capturing the fun moments of our “Capone Kiddos”.  For Anthony and Nicholas, their love of watermelon really brought out some amazing expressions!  Because, let’s be honest – who doesn’t love summer’s tastiest treat??

Here are some of our favorites from this “watermelon smash”.  Which one is your fave…?

Stella’s 10 month session

Just a few months ago, we had the privilege of photographing Stella, her big sister Harper and parents in our studio.  Now, 5 months later, we celebrate another milestone in Stella’s life – walking on her own!  She continues to have the most adorable smile and an extremely funny personality.  So funny, she even makes herself laugh Winking smile

Here are a few of our favorite images from Stella’s 10 month session…

CHOP Voorhees 2012

It means so much to us to be able to give back. Christmas wouldn’t feel the same without us helping our friends at Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania, Voorhees Division. The annual holiday event makes a wonderful evening for those in need with leukemia, and other blood disorders.  Shirley Landgraff has done an amazing job at coordinating this event, but after nearly 16 years, she is retiring to spend more time with her family. All of the amazing volunteers, from the Waterford Woman’s Club to the “elves”  from a local school help to make the season bright. And, let’s not forget Santa!!  After 7 years, we are blessed to be a part.

And of course a PICTURE WITH SANTA!

Ilana and Jordan’s Wedding at Temple Beth Sholom, Cherry Hill, NJ

If it’s distance that makes the heart grow fonder, than Ilana and Jordan couldn’t be any more in love with one another.  Jordan lives in Boston and Ilana is from the Philadelphia area, but the lengthy car ride didn’t make a difference to either of them.  It’s the intense connection they have for one another that made Jordan sad when Ilana was gone (insert frown here) and made Jordan smile when Ilana was with him (insert smile here).  And on their wedding day, when they saw each other for the first time, tears of joy ran down their faces as hugs and kisses were shared.  On this day, distance was no longer in their future.

Ilana and Jordan – it’s the way you make each other feel. Michael Jackson may have said it best when he sang “I never felt so in love before.  Promise baby, you’ll love me forevermore.  I swear I’m keepin’ you satisfied.  ‘Cause you’re the one for me . . .”  From all of us here at Capone Photography, congratulations!  For more of Ilana and Jordan’s wedding images, check out their personal Facebook album by clicking HERE.

Christine and Kevin’s GTKY

Christine and Kevin had a very novel approach to their pre-wedding photo session. They had a plan, (which we can’t reveal here) that was quite unique.  We had a great time helping them make their idea happen. We know that all their friends and guests will eventually find out, so we’ll never tell.

Christine and Kevin, hope you guys had as much fun as we did! Enjoy this teaser for now.

Dana and Luke’s Engagement

Dana and Luke’s “formal” engagement took place in Long Port, NJ.  So what better location than the beach, for their ‘Get to Know You’ Session.  They told us how they had been looking forward to their shoot so when it came time to get their feet wet, they really went all out.  The word soaked pretty much sums it up!  🙂

Dana and Luke – your ‘GTKY’ session was nothing short of fun.  Hanging out with you both was such a great time, and we can’t wait to do it again on your wedding day.  To see more images from their shore session, check out our Facebook page by clicking HERE.

Kirsten and Jeff’s Engagement

When we photographed Kirsten and Jeff’s engagement session in Ocean City, NJ, not only was it the first time we met Jeff, but it was also the first time we got to see how the two of them interacted with one another.  Well…needless to say, it’s all about laughing and having a good time!  They are such a perfect match.

Kirsten and Jeff – we hope that these images bring back all of the good times you had on this day.  We know that your wedding will be nothing short of fun, fantastic and fabulous!  To see more teasers, visit our Facebook page by clicking HERE.

Dana and Kevin’s Wedding – Ballroom at the Ben, Philadelphia, PA

Dana and Kevin’s wedding day began at the Downtown Marriott in Philadelphia.  Kevin and his Groomsmen, all longtime friends, shared a lot of laughs and some great stories while they hung out in Kevin’s room preparing for the day.

Dana and her Bridesmaids did their last minute touch-ups, got dressed and then popped open the champagne along with Dana’s parents.  Let the celebration begin!

Neither Dana nor Kevin showed any signs of being nervous.  They were ready to relax and enjoy it all, even as they met each other for the first time before their ceremony.  They held each other and took it all in while their wedding party and families cheered them on.

After making a few stops in the city for pictures, we made our way to the fabulous Ballroom at the Ben for a romantic, candle-lit ceremony that brought tears to quite a few eyes.

Dana and Kevin had a great time with their first dance as they wow-ed the crowd with their moves to The Beatles’, “I Saw Her Standing There.”  They are obviously a fun couple that loves to have a good time.

After listening to several moving tributes by their Maid of Honor and Best Man, the new Mr. and Mrs. partied the night away with their guests to the sounds of the Tribecca Grand band.

“Well my heart went boom, when I crossed that room and I held her hand in mine…” Lyrics:  John Lennon and Paul McCartney

Dana and Kevin, may your hearts go BOOM for many years to come.  Congratulations from all of us here at Capone Photography.  Enjoy the images on our blog and please remember to take a look at some more on our Facebook Page by clicking HERE.
